Position Title: District Manager FLSA Classification: Exempt - Salaried


Position Supervisor: ROM


Employees that Report to this Position: Contract Managers


Job Purpose:
Oversees and leads operations and or projects of a Region/District comprised of multiple locations, geographically dispersed.  Is responsible for the overall success of the locations in all functions


Major Responsibilities:


1) Responsible for the direct supervision and coaching and on-boarding of several Contract Managers ensuring company policies and procedures and implemented fairly and consistently.   

 
2) Maintains excellent customer service relationship with Region’s customers.       

 
3) Demonstrates a strong sense of mission in the development and execution of a strategic business plan.  Motivates others by establishing clear vision as to the needs necessary to ensure success in profit performance, client relations, and business development.         

 
4) Develops programs, ensures consistency in administration of company policies and procedures in order to ensure effective and positive employee relations.

 
5) Develops and monitors budget activity within the District in order to ensure maximum location performance.   Responsible for financial performance of District.   

 
6) Works cross functionally to ensure safety, employee relations, quality of service, and maintenance of fleet meet or exceed objectives.

 
7) Monitors key KPIs, identifies gaps, and takes appropriate corrective actions.

 
8) Responsible to ensure locations are operating at highest cost efficiency and effectiveness.

 
9) Responsible to lead and ensure adequate staffing levels are maintained.      

 
10) Effectively interacts with others by demonstrating high degree of credibility and is responsible for development of initiatives in support of, and development of subordinates.


11)Keeps abreast of governmental laws and regulations and ensures Region is in compliance


12)All other duties as assigned.


Minimum Education & Certifications Required:

·       Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Economics or other related field preferred

Experience & Requirements:

  • Superior interpersonal skills, written and verbal communication skills with pleasant phone communication ability. Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in transportation, manufacturing or logistics
  • The ability to work variable hours.
  • Must maintain a professional and respectful attitude toward fellow employees and customers.
  • Dress in a professional and appropriate manner for a business environment.
  • Perform all job functions in the safest manner adhering to OSHA guidelines & other applicable Federal & State laws
  • Execute all job duties while following company policy and procedure

Skills:
·       Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office

·       Exceptional organizational skills, strong attention to detail and follow-up skills are vital in this position.

·       High level of understanding of management and employee labor relations

·       Ability to be persuasive and give leadership to subordinates

·       Strong analytical and reasoning abilities

·       Strong business background in financial, strategic, and organizational analysis

·       Prior history of staff supervision and development

·       Ability to use or learn to use internet, additional programs as required and office equipment, including fax and phones on other electronic devices

This job operates in an office environment as well as a transportation terminal facility environment.
